DrSathi Privacy Policy

Effective Date: July 12, 2026

Welcome to DrSathi. Your privacy is highly important to us. This Privacy Policy is designed to inform you clearly about how our mobile application functions, what data we access, and how we handle information to provide our services.

1. Core Functionality & How the App Works

DrSathi operates strictly as a hyper-local healthcare directory. The app functions through the following mechanism:

  • Local Database Query: The application contains a structured directory of verified healthcare professionals, hospitals, and clinics.
  • Hyper-Local Filtering: When you search for a medical service, the app matches your current device coordinates against our directory database to calculate the physical distance and display the nearest options in real-time.
  • Direct Communication: The app provides publicly available contact details of medical facilities so you can connect with them directly.

2. No Account Creation or Registration

To ensure complete user privacy and a seamless experience, DrSathi does not feature any login or signup systems. We do not require, collect, or store personal credentials such as your name, phone number, email address, or account passwords. You can access the full directory and search features instantly upon installing the application without creating a digital profile.

3. Real-Time Location Access

To deliver the core service of finding nearby medical facilities, the application requests standard device location permissions (ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION and ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION).

  • Processing: Your location coordinates are processed temporarily and locally on your device solely to calculate proximity and sort healthcare listings by distance.
  • No Tracking: We do not track your movement in the background, and we never transmit, save, or store your location history on any external servers.

4. Push Notifications (Android 13+)

For devices running Android 13 (API level 33) or higher, DrSathi requests the explicit POST_NOTIFICATIONS runtime permission. This is utilized exclusively to send real-time system status alerts, emergency health updates, and service reminders directly to your device interface. The notification tokens generated by the operating system are handled securely and are never linked to any personal identifiers or shared with third parties.

5. Data Retention, Storage & Deletion

Because the current architecture of DrSathi does not host user accounts, personal identities, or medical records on a remote server, we do not possess or retain any personal data. Consequently, account deletion mechanisms or user data removal protocols are not applicable to the current framework of the application.

6. Third-Party Integration and Infrastructure

We maintain a strict policy against selling, trading, or sharing user information. Any technical utilities or background libraries utilized for application stability, framework rendering, or crash reporting handle non-personal, anonymous technical metrics securely and in full compliance with standard security protocols.

7. Future Architecture Updates

We plan to introduce advanced modules, including a secure user registration system and voluntary blood donor tracking, in upcoming versions of the application. When those interactive features are implemented, this Privacy Policy will be revised to reflect the updated data handling, collection, and deletion practices.
